Hussani Kabab
Ingredients
- 450g lean Meat
- 4 pods sliced Garlic
- 2 Green Chillies
- ½ teaspoon Red Chilli Powder
- 1 Onion
- 25g sliced Ginger
- 900ml Yoghurt
- 1 teaspoon Cumin Seeds or Cumin Powder
- Salt to taste
Method
- Cut the meat into small cubes.
- Take a skewer and thread a meat piece, then a piece of garlic, then a piece
of ginger, and then a piece of onion. Repeat this until the skewer is
covered.
- Mix the yoghurt and dry ingredients, i.e. red chilli powder, salt, cumin seeds (or powder) and green chillies.
- Put the threaded skewers on a tray and cover it with the yoghurt mixture.
- Leave the uncooked kababs for 4 - 5 hours in this mixture.
- Remove the mixture from the kababs and grill them, turning constantly or the kababs can be fried in deep hot fat.
- Roasting or grilling is preferred as it gives a better taste.
- Serve them hot with tomato chutney.
